Hemp Fabric
Industrial hemp is the most ecological plant. This is proven not only by modern research and the growing “hemp” industry, but above all by the history of this unique crop. Several sources state that people knew and used the properties of hemp more than 30,000 years ago.
In the recent past, hemp was relatively widespread. Unfortunately, during the industrial revolution, cheaper synthetic materials managed to almost completely push this versatile plant out of the awareness of farmers and processors. It was replaced by crops that require pesticides, herbicides, and other toxic substances for production, while offering neither the same yield nor the ecological footprint that hemp does.
Our hemp fabrics come from Europe and are produced in an environmentally friendly way. Our goal is to work with manufacturers who combine modern processing technologies with a rich tradition of hemp cultivation as a renewable resource, as well as ecological methods of weaving, knitting, and dyeing.
The fabric we use is purely natural. We focus on 100% hemp material, produced in harmony with nature, without the use of any chemicals during the growth or processing of the plant. The fabric used for kitchen textiles is tested and approved for contact with and storage of food. Our intention is to use materials that are environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and ecologically harmless.
Hemp fabric has excellent insulating properties thanks to the highest thermal capacity among all textile fibers. It is very strong, with a lifespan that can be counted in decades. It is also very comfortable, organically grown, processed, and woven. In addition, hemp absorbs harmful UV radiation.
Hemp products are strong, resistant to abrasion, mold, and microbes, and have significantly better insulating properties than any other materials used in textile production. The fabric keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer. Purchasing our clothing or accessories is an investment in the future. Over time, they gain in quality and become even more comfortable to use.
The best and most natural choice is hemp clothing. It is ideal for children and their delicate skin. Hemp fabric allows the skin to breathe naturally, absorbs sweat, helps reduce body odor, does not form mold, and is suitable for all-day wear for allergy sufferers and people sensitive to chemicals and synthetic materials. It even helps heal skin issues (scabs, bites, fungi...) and repels mosquitoes and moths. These are the reasons why we call hemp clothing “healthy clothing.” The skin is the largest human organ, and therefore it deserves proper care.
The color shades of the fabrics may vary slightly. This is proof that the fabrics are not chemically processed. The color tone also depends on the weather conditions during the growth, harvesting, and processing of the hemp.
